“I’ve done exactly what I would do if I was designing a home right here in New Zealand – the open plan, the indoor-outdoor flow. We assess the site for its advantages and we’re always looking at sun orientation. We cover all the aspects we would when building a home in the traditional way. It’s really the manufacturing and technical side of the Modul home that’s different – and that’s to deliver at a better price than can be achieved by building in New Zealand.” – Allan Shanahan, Modul architect.
