Modul who?

Modul is the new kid on the block when it comes to prefabricated homes, brought to you by experienced developers, the Neilston Group.

One of New Zealand’s largest building companies, Neilston is a family-owned business best known for its homes in Hobsonville Point in northwest Auckland. Tony Houston, Neilston’s managing director, owned the company that built the first house in Hobsonville Point and this was where he helped develop Axis affordable terraced homes.

Financial Director at Neilston, Robyn Neil partners with Tony in life as well as in business. The pair works alongside Robyn’s brother Ron Neil, business advisor and management accountant.

After 30 years in the business and 12 years of building affordable homes, the Neilston team is clear about what it takes to combine quality with affordability. “With Modul homes, we have come up with a solution and it’s quite different from anything that’s been done before,” says Tony Houston. “A fully-built modular home sounds simple, and it is, but it has taken careful planning.”

Allan Shanahan of Shanahan Architects and Tony Houston have been friends since they were six years old, and business associates for over two decades. Allan’s team is responsible for the design of the Modul homes – as well as more than 400 homes in Hobsonville Point. Allan brings more than 30 years of on-the-job wisdom as an architect of standalone houses, terraced homes and apartments for group builders and individual owners.

Modul is leading-edge, offering you an innovative way to buy a home with the solid backing of Neilston’s experience in construction and design.
